DIABLOG: More family stuff

Grampa’s had all his chemo treatments for this round, and he’s doing all right, though he’s itching like crazy and is having memory problems, but he has a nurse that takes care of him. He really likes the guy, too.

If that nurse can keep Grampa happy and healthy, I like him too!

I’ve not been playing very many video games lately, but I’ve been playing more “Star Wars,” and enjoying it somewhat.

DIABLOG: Yelling at the hospital

Well, grampa is in the hospital again, due to general weakness. His mind is a little off since he got pneumonia, and he still has it.

As long as he stays in the hospital, he will be fine I think…

We took him in for chemo today, and his doctor — the one that discharged him — said that he shouldn’t have been released, and promptly sent him back to the hospital with a room ready for him.

DIABLOG: A long week

I accidentally blew up the Minecraft server again today, trying to regenerate the landscape in the area.

I hope that Jon doesn’t yell at me again, but I wasn’t trying to damage anything. It just happened.

On a happy note, I found a copy of Hyrule castle from “Twilight Princess,” and we put it in. Here’s where it is, and the creator has more stuff for you to try out!

DIABLOG: A venture into Minecraft

So I play around with Minecraft on my friend’s server, helping him build stuff so he can let other people play on it.

He gave his brother and I GM powers, so we could build anywhere, which has led to some really cool stuff, but then I did something so remarkably stupid that I have to tell you about it.

His brother, whom I will call Ty, was building a tower out in the middle of the ocean and got it really big.

Thunder season still one to remember

Losing is rarely a cause to celebrate anything in life, much less when it comes to basketball. The Thunder were officially ousted by LeBron and the Heat a week ago in the Finals – and while that may be disappointing on its own – looking back, it’s a testament to how good the season was for Oklahoma City, both the team and the city.

The beaten-down narrative of how young and inexperienced the Thunder is were lines no fan wanted any part of during the playoff run we just experienced. Most thought, “We’re not young anymore, we’ve handled the playoffs before. We’re ready to win. Now.”

DIABLOG: New patch

So the new patch came out, and demon hunters, wizards, and witch doctors everywhere are throwing a hissy fit over the increased attack speed reduction.

While I can understand why people are complaining, i think they are taking it a little far.

Before anybody jumps down my throat or eviscerates me with their now useless weapons, hear me out.

DIABLOG: Because hunters rock. Always.

I decided to put some real work into my demon hunter recently, and spent about 40k on gear total, and started soloing normal ponies at about 23.

After convincing my friend to help me get to nightmare at 26, I got a quarter of the way through act one in nightmare at 26 or 27.

This is blatantly ridiculous, and should not be possible at all. Why am I able to solo nightmare, far before i should be able to?

What’chu Talkin’ ‘Bout, Willis?: NBA finals preview

The biggest stage in basketball begins tonight at 7:30 p.m. in Oklahoma City.

I have said all along that Miami versus Oklahoma City would be my dream matchup and this dream has become reality. You have star power, athleticism, great young coaching, and an intriguing contrast between the cities and the creation of both teams.

The Playoffs and NBA Finals are all about matchups and this series will not be any different. I will highlight the key matchups of the series and what I believe will decide the ultimate result.
