Why should people join “vegetarianism”? – Hung Tran

vegitarianfoodHave you ever noticed about how much affect your daily diet has to your health? I think most people have not because they are in a rush with the daily overload of work, money pressures and bill concerns.

People also often don’t take the time to visit health care professionals for general check-ups.

Many ignore small symptoms signaling a possible health issue until the problem becomes severe and it’s too late.

Nowadays, people are forgetting that the most important thing in life is health, not money. Therefore, my two main purposes are to point out the root cause for health problems and introduce an effective way that could help everyone — even the most busied person — have a healthy life.

The overconsumption of meat everyday is the main cause for many current diseases.

Billions of farming animals are killed each year to meet the demand. Based on an Animal Equality website: “Over 56 billion farmed animals are killed every year by humans. More than 3,000 animals die every second in slaughterhouses around the world.”

My simple question is: How can the farmers/manufacturers produce enough that amount of meat each year for the increasing demand?

If you are a meat eater, my answer may make you change your mind about that choice.

Many farm animals are injected with unknown artificial-growth chemicals every day by the farm owners. Those chemicals help push animals to grow very fast and gain enough weight in a very short time so that the farming businesses can get more income and are able to maintain productivity.

Unfortunately, the animal body still contains those poisonous compounds as they are being slaughtered in the factory and even after becoming meals.

Right now, people are buying and using that kind of meat every day. Therefore, that is the reason there are more and more new fatal medical cases like different types of cancer, diabetes and heart diseases which are mostly incurable.

The only and most effective method to solve that problems is to stop eating meat — become a vegetarian. Vegetarianism means to eliminate meat products and consume more vegetables and plants. Vegetarianism has been increasing in numbers all over the world.

There are many persuasive reasons proving why people should be a vegetarian/vegan.

Eating a plant-based diet helps prevent severe diseases.

For instance, many researches show the benefit of eating raw vegetables on a daily basis easily lowers the chance of heart disease by 26 percent and nearly 25 percent by eating raw fruits daily. A major report published by the World Cancer Research Fund in 1997 recommended we lower our risk of cancer by choosing predominantly plant-based diets rich in a variety of vegetables and fruits, legumes and minimally processed starchy staple foods and to limit the intake of grilled, cured and smoked meats and fish.

However, turning from a meat consumer into a vegetarian does not mean you have to take all of the meat products off your plate. Vegetarianism method is actually divided into four types, including semi-vegetarian, pescatarian, lacto-ovo vegetarian and vegan.

Semi-vegetarian is to still eat flesh of chicken and fish, but not red meat; while pescatarian is defined as the elimination of all kind of meat and fowl goods, fish and marine creatures. If someone likes the taste of milk-based products and eggs but want to become a vegetarian, they are able to follow the lacto-ovo way. The last one, Vegan is quite strictly diet. It is designed for ones who want to eat vegetables and plants only.

Therefore, there are multiple ways for you to choose being a vegetarian. Eat green and stay healthy. You don’t have to waste time visiting your doctors and can have perfect health.
