The Oklahoma State Fair first opened its doors over a century ago in October of 1907, a month before Oklahoma became a state.

The State Fair has been going strong since.

This year the fair offers many returning classics such as, the Barnyard Birthing Center, AGtropolis, Swifty Swine Pig Races, Xtreme Bulls, Live Shark Encounter, the Great American Petting Zoo and others.

As of 2016, the Oklahoma State Fair is now home to the historic 105-foot-tall Ferris wheel that once stood at the Santa Monica Pier.

This year, the fair features the JFK exhibition and says farewell to the Zoppé Italian Family Circus.

Making its first appearance at the State Fair in 1987, the fan-favorite Disney On Ice returns featuring Moana in Dare to Dream!

In addition to a colorful midway, 4-H and FFA students are showing their animals. Fair goers can also view photos from amateur photographers and artwork from K-12 students in Oklahoma. Indoor activities include the Creative Arts Exhibition, the Hands-On Spot, and the Auto Show.

The event also includes food — lots of it. The fair offers classics such as corn dogs, turkey legs, corn on the cob, and funnel cakes, as well as many new treats including cheese curd tacos, gourmet donut burgers, waffle wrapped snow ice, and cherry limeade pies.

The Oklahoma State Fair runs from September 13th through the 23rd at the Oklahoma State Fair Grounds with events starting at 10 A.M. and ending at 10:30 P.M. This year marks the fair’s 112th year.
