Christmas Connection is actively seeking students to volunteer during their August and September School Uniform Shopping Days said Program Director Donna Robison in an email.

According to the website Christmasconnection.org, the organization serves local, low-income families by providing an environment in which they can shop for basic necessities, household items and clothing.

It takes a lot of volunteers to make the process work — 10 to 12 volunteers each day, Robison said. She said the organization tries to send 25 kids per hour out the door with two uniforms each.

Volunteers are needed to size uniforms to clients, assemble uniform sets and prepare receipts. To register for a two- or three-hour shift, contact Robison at drobison@christmasconnection.org or call 405-634-2006, ext. 102.
