Intramural soccer starts at OCCC
Every Friday through March 3 the Recreation and Fitness department will be hosting intramural indoor soccer from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the latest depending on the number of participants. The event will be held at the recreation center.
Matthew Wright from the department of recreation and fitness lined up this event for Oklahoma City Community College students. Wright said that the Recreation and Fitness department is here to provide students with activities and programs to help with fitness.
Friday, Jan. 17, students gathered for intramural soccer for the first time this semester. Wright said new teams will be formed as more players attend. Matches will be five on five players.
Wright stated that while they have a good pool of students already, there are plenty of spots left to sign up for and he encourages students to do so.
To apply for the program students should go to the Recreation and Fitness office by the gym. While there is no fee, students must bring their school I.D. and be 18 or older and be able to fill out the required paperwork.
