Free vouchers for Creativity Forum offered

If you’re suffering from writer’s block or just in a creative rut, help may be as close as a walk across campus.

OCCC’s Enrollment and Student Services office is giving away 10 vouchers to attend the sold-out Oklahoma Creativity Forum, held from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in Norman, said Administrative Assistant Kim Velleca.

The forum will feature more than 30 innovative and creative thinkers, including Whole Foods co-founder John Mackey, basketball player Desmond Mason, and OCCC’s own Emmy-award winning film professor, Greg Mellott.

The event is intended to inspire people to use creative thinking in three areas: education, commerce, and culture, according to the website at www.stateofcreativity.com.

Breakfast and lunch are included, and the schedule wraps up with a book signing and reception.

Velleca said the vouchers will be handed out on a first-come, first-serve basis.
