Adjunct professor tells ghost tales
Rachel Morrison/Pioneer
OCCC adjunct English Professor Jeff Provine stands in front of a point of interest during his annual haunted tour at the University of Oklahoma. As the story goes, the rock fell from a freight train and was captured by the class of 1906. The class carved out their year, then gave it to OU. It’s said the class of 1907 then stole the rock and buried it in a cemetery. The class of 1906 then rescued the rock and returned it to its rightful place near the North Oval and the Chemistry Building. Provine gave tours of that supposed haunted site and many others during three nights of haunted tours Oct. 26 through 28.
