Presale tickets available for spring concert

Mary ChapinTickets for the Mary Chapin Carpenter Spring 2015 Acoustic Trio Tour Concert at 7 p.m. on March 30 are now available for Preferred Customer Presale. Cultural Programs Director, Lemuel Bardeguez, said those hoping to get good seats should act now.

“If you want to sit on the front row, you can get those seats before anybody else. If you like to sit in a particular place, if you want to sit up close to the stage, because once the tickets go on sale to the general public, then it just kind of becomes a frenzy. You might get stuck with seats in the back or undesirable seats,” Bardeguez said.

The presale tickets can be purchased online or in the box office located in the Sarkeys Foundation Atrium in the Visual and Performing Arts Center. However, purchasing tickets online will result in an applicable convenience fee.

“If they want to save themselves the fees, they can just come to the box office between 1 and 5 p.m. to buy their tickets,” he said.

Carpenter is a singer/songwriter who started as a country artist, he said, and has received many awards and recognition over the years.

She’s a four—time Grammy Award winner and 15—time Grammy nominee. She’s a Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame inductee,” Bardeguez said.

Aoife O’Donovan will open up the show.

Tickets will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 16.
