Congratulations to Dr. Mautra Staley Jones to become the 11th President of Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC).

Dr. Jones comes to the college from Langston University where she served as Vice President for Institutional Advancement & External Affairs, Campus Administrator  and Executive Director, Langston University Foundation.

Jones holds a PhD from Vanderbilt University in Education, a master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma.

The 43-year-old  Ardmore native was named 2021 National Mother of the Year.

On July 9th, 2021, BancFirst Corporation announced the appointment of Dr. Mautra Staley Jones as a director of the company.

Dr. Jones now won against four other candidates to become the first female and the first President of color of OCCC. Her first day as OCCC President is set for March 1, 2022.
