“Sliding up to the microphone, the singers had the air of the Rat Pack, Motown and a nightclub act rolled into one.” -The New York Times

Cirque Mechanics – Birdhouse Factory
Saturday, November 20 • 8:00 PM
This mystifying Cirque experience is perfect for the whole family, combining the thrills and humor of a circus (including aerial acrobatics, juggling and plenty of other stunts you shouldn’t try at home) with artistry and culture. The set and style, placed in a 1930’s widget factory, is inspired by the industrial murals of Mexican-born artist, Diego Rivera, the outrageous contraptions of cartoonist Rube Goldberg and slap-stick humor in Charlie Chaplin’s Modern Times. The hopeful story follows a group of manufacturing workers who ditch the assembly line to help a feathered friend.
“Exceptional, evocative,…and engrossingly entertaining.” -The New York Times
Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández

World-famous and Mexico’s most renowned dance ensemble, this is the Folklorico Ballet company to see live on stage. The ballet’s permanent home is at the Palacio de Bellas Artes, one of Mexico City’s most historic venues. Experience Mexican culture through the unparalleled vision of choreographer Amalia Hernández. Ballet Folklórico brings together the music, dance and costumes of Mexican folklore, from pre-Columbian civilizations through the modern era.
“The dancers, clad in eye-popping pink, green and turquoise, move in battalion-worthy cascading lines, their small stamping steps sharply reminiscent of tap. The gorgeous costumes and breathtaking formations keep coming, dance after dance.” -The New York Times
