This is the second year for the fan-voted iHeartradio music awards and it will air on NBC on March 29. The categories include: Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best New Artist, Country Song of the Year, Hip Hop/R&B Song of the Year, Dance Song of the Year, Alternative Rock Song of the Year, Best Lyrics, Best Fan Army, and Renegade.

I listen to the Bobby Bones show every morning and after hearing them make their iHeartradio music awards picks, I started thinking about who I would choose.

Here are my picks of who I think will win/should win:

Artist of the Year Nominees: Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, Luke Bryan, Sam Smith, Taylor Swift

My Pick: Taylor Swift

Swift shattered records this year with the release of “1989.” She had the best selling album of 2014 and sold over 1.287 million copies in the first week. If that doesn’t qualify her to win, I don’t know what does.

Song of the Year Nominees: “All About That Bass” by Meghan Trainor, “All of Me” by John Legend, “Happy” by Pharrell Williams, “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift, “Stay With Me” by Sam Smith

My Pick: “Shake it Off” by Taylor Swift

This song had the most first week plays on the Billboard charts and was the first Adult Pop Song to enter the top 10 since 1996. Plus, it’s extremely catchy and you can’t watch TV for 30 minutes and not hear it being played.

Best Collaboration Nominees: “Bang Bang” by Jessie J + Ariana Grande + Nicki Minaj, “Dark Horse” by Katy Perry featuring Juicy J, “Fancy” by Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX, “Problem” by Ariana Grande featuring Iggy Azalea, “Talk Dirty” by Jason Derulo featuring 2 Chainz

My Pick: “Bang Bang” by Jessie J + Ariana Grande + Nicki Minaj

Out of all of these, I am most familiar with this song. Plus, it features two of the biggest women in music right now.

Best New Artist Nominees: Bastille, Cole Swindell, Iggy Azalea, Meghan Trainor, Sam Smith

My Pick: Sam Smith

Smith has been on fire this year and has already won countless awards. He’s an extremely talented guy and has definitely received more recognition and popularity than anyone else on the list.

Country Song of the Year Nominees: “Bartender” by Lady Antebellum, “Burnin’ It Down” by Jason Aldean, “Dirt” by Florida Georgia Line, “Give Me Back My Hometown” by Eric Church, “Play It Again” by Luke Bryan

My Pick: “Bartender” by Lady Antebellum

I listen to Country music on a daily basis, so my heart was torn on this decision. I think all of these songs could be Song of the Year, but I think Lady A will win. The song is catchy, it’s always on the radio, and they have a large fanbase.

Hip Hop/R&B Song of the Year Nominees: “Don’t Tell ‘Em” by Jeremih featuring YG, by “Drunk in Love” by Beyoncé featuring Jay Z, “Flawless” by Beyoncé, “Loyal” by Chris Brown featuring Lil Wayne and Tyga, “New Flame” by Chris Brown featuring Usher and Rick Ross

My Pick: “Drunk in Love” by Beyoncé featuring Jay Z

I don’t think I’ve ever heard any of these songs, but based on the title and artist, I predict  Beyoncé will win. Everyone loves  Beyoncé, even Michael Scott.

Dance Song of the Year Nominees: “Animals” by Martin Garrix, “Blame” by Calvin Harris featuring John Newman, “La La La” by Naughty Boy featuring Sam Smith, “Summer” by Calvin Harris, “Waves” by Mr. Probz

My Pick: “Blame” by Calvin Harris featuring John Newman

I’ve also never heard any of these songs. From what I hear, Calvin Harris is pretty popular.

Alternative Rock Song of the Year Nominees: “Come With Me Now” by  KONGOS, “Do I Wanna Know?” by Arctic Monkeys, “Fever” by The Black Keys, “Something From Nothing” by Foo Fighters, “Take Me to Church” by Hozier

My Pick: “Take Me to Church” by Hozier

I’ve haven’t heard many of these songs, but I think Hozier will take this one, hands down. His song has become incredibly popular. Plus, he had that story about dating Taylor Swift, so everyone knows his name.

Best Lyrics Nominees: “All of Me” by John Legend, “Blank Space” by Taylor Swift, “Counting Stars” by OneRepublic, “Habits (Stay High)” by Tove Lo, “Stay With Me” by Sam Smith, “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran

My Pick: “All of Me” by John Legend

My heart was torn on this one, as well. “All of Me” is one of the best written songs, but all the other ones on the list are great, as well. The only other one that could possibly win would be “Stay With Me.”

Best Fan Army Nominees: 5SOSFAM – 5 Seconds of Summer, Arianators – Ariana Grande, Bey Hive – Beyoncé, Team Breezy – Chris Brown, Sheerios – Ed Sheeran, Church Choir – Eric Church, Directioners – One Direction, Selenators – Selena Gomez, Mendes Army – Shawn Mendes, Swifties – Taylor Swift

My Pick: 5SOSFAM – 5 Seconds of Summer

Their fans are teenagers. Teenagers are crazy and obsessed with Twitter.

Renegade Nominees: Brantley Gilbert, Charli XCX, Hozier, Iggy Azalea, Meghan Trainor

My Pick: Meghan Trainor

This award is for those who defy boundaries. I think Meghan Trainor will win this award, even though the only thing she’s done has sing about women having more “bass.” She’s the most popular person on the list. That’s the only reason she’ll win.
