As a new semester begins at OCCC, Student Life aims to help new and returning students alike find their way around campus and to their classes.

Opening Day is how the office achieves this purpose, by offering personalized tours to anyone who attends.

At 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, Opening Day festivities will begin with New Student Orientation, where new and returning students can find helpful information about the campus and its resources.

Students will also receive tips to lead them to success throughout their college career.

During the event, students who visit the welcome booth can be entered to win a Nintendo Wii gaming console or a high-definition television.

Students can also complete a scavenger hunt that will include stops at various booths where students can gather valuable information. The first 200 participants will receive specially-ordered OCCC t-shirts from Student Life.
