Student cell phone photos subject of art show

“Snapshots,” an exhibition of cell phone photographs taken by OCCC students, faculty and staff will be on display from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Feb. 4 through Mar. 15 in Room 124 of the Visual and Performing Arts Center.

Visual Art professor Doug Blake said the photos were submitted last semester.

Blake said he and Graphic Communications professor Randy Anderson judged the photos.

Blake said he received the entries through email with the following information: type of phone used, title of the photo and any apps used to edit the photo.

“When I received them, I put a copy of all the photos into a separate folder,” he said. “We chose strictly from images without names attached. We wanted it to be fair.”

Exhibition participants include Una Anderson, Tom Ashby, Beau Baker, Brittany Billiot, Gina K. Boerner, Ryan Bott, Brenda Breeding, Emily Butts, Randy Cassimus, Tamesha Chamberlain, Jessica Halley, Felicia Hinote, Madihah Janjua, Maggie Keys, Amanda Lemon, Weldon Mann III, Cheryl McGuire, Ashlie Mowdy, Kalani Hardesty, Chelsey Oliver, Rachael Privett, Mike Reeves, Sheryl Truelove and Chandelle Weeks.
