Today I spent about two hours helping my friend get enrolled. She is a 4.0 student who has been supporting herself since before she even graduated high school. Every student employee she asked a question of today, gave her the wrong answer.

Instead of saying “I don’t know,” it seems some prefer to make something up. Every desk, every office.

This is how we lose students. They get discouraged because they run into some technical problem, get a bunch of vague answers, and they throw their hands up and leave. Forever.

Student employees working the front desks, please get better at your jobs. There is room for improvement.

When you don’t know the answer to something, go ask someone who does. Don’t make up something and don’t act offended when I want to talk to somebody more lucid.
