Professors recognized for NISOD awards

The NISOD or National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development, awards winners from OCCC for 2012 through 2013 have been announced.

More than 700 community colleges are NISOD members, OCCC being one.

The goal of NISOD is to encourage development of faculty, administrators and staff at higher learning institutions with the goal to improve the success of students.

The NISOD winners are nominated by students and their peers. Once nominated each department made a selection from the nominees. To see who the winners were pick up the Pioneer from newsstands on Jan. 25.
