The Cupid Shuffle Poker Run is an event aiming to get OCCC students up and moving. The event begins Monday, Feb. 9 and runs through the week, ending on Friday the 13. Students are encouraged to pick a playing card each time they complete one lap around the track from the welcome desk and then sign in at the Wellness Center.
The indoor walking trail around the perimeter of the campus is the course for students to follow.
A prize will be offered for the best overall hand at the end of the week. The prizes will remain a secret for now, but they will be practical and Valentine’s themed, she said.
Health and Fitness Specialist Carole Valentine said the event has been successful in the past, and that she hopes to continue the success this year.
“Part of making it a competition adds extra incentive for people to get active,” Valentine said.
