OCCC SGA is hosting a town hall on February 10th from 2:00 pm to 3:00 PM in classroom 1X3. We will field questions from students about the event, present upcoming state legislation, and discuss plans on how we will interact with legislators on Higher Ed Day on February 15th. The goal is to promote student engagement about Higher Ed Day as well as inform students of upcoming legislation and how it will affect them and what we can do to make their voices heard within the state legislature. 

We will have food set up for all students who are able to make it, present a PowerPoint of upcoming legislation and what it means for OCCC Students, and then hold an open discussion about what students would like to see and what initiatives they would like to see taken on campus.

Join Student Life and Carey Sue, our formal dining expert, on a night of fancy dining! Be prepared to eat a gourmet meal and learn how to eat like a (professional) boss. You’ll be able to ask questions like, “Which fork do you use for salads?”, or “Does the knife go on the right or left side of the plate?” Students who RSVP will be able to bring one guest, and we kindly ask that guests be 16 years of age or older. Also, as this is a formal event, we ask everyone to be yourself, but please dress in your best formal attire (suits, tuxedos, dresses, etc.) Dinner is on the house, so bring your appetite.
