VPO violation, two fire alarms keep police busy

Police responded to reports of a violated protective order and two fire alarms in the most recent incident reports received by the Pioneer.

Officer Tim Harris was dispatched to OCCC’s Capitol Hill Learning Center on Thursday, April 9, in reference to a violation of a Victim’s Protective Order.

The names of the suspect and the victim were redacted from the report. It also is unknown if either party is a student. More information is available in a supplemental report that was requested but not provided.

Harassment, lost college property reported to police

Recent incident reports show an incident where one student harassed another, and another student reported missing college equipment.

On April 17, a student who works in the Communications Lab asked campus police to investigate several incidents where she has felt harassed and threatened by another student.

According to the report, the unnamed student  has made several unwanted advances throughout the semester toward the student worker whose name also was redacted from the report.

Drug bust, wreck details, disturbance reported

Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were discovered by campus police who were investigating reports of a dog in distress in parking lot B Monday, March 30.

According to the report, Officer Gordon Nelson was dispatched “in regard to a dog, possibly in distress, inside a blue Ford Taurus,” that day.

Nelson reported all four windows of the car were partially open and the dog did not appear to be in distress. It was ascertained that the vehicle did not belong to an OCCC student.

Police arrest man for outstanding warrant

OCCC police recently made one arrest and solved a recent campus mystery, according to reports from the campus police department.

An OCCC student was arrested on campus after running a stop sign on Keels Boulevard. It’s reported that Malcolm Rshad Lewis was found to be driving with a suspended license when stopped by Officer Zachary Andrews.

A call from Andrews to the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Lewis had previously been cited for driving while his license was suspended and that he had “an extensive traffic record,” resulting in a warrant for his arrest out of Oklahoma City.
